TALK ABOUT CARS

My first car was a 1955 Chevy, but I didn't get it till after I graduated, I drove my grandfathers 1955 Ford. Still not a Ford fan.
GM was the status car in our time.(that makes us sound old) I think of that car (black 1955) even though I have another one now, but it's not just the same.
I am sure most of us remember the old road (now 675) from Medway to Fairborn and the old Hasty Tasty, Frisch's. We used to race cars on that road. Never did get caught doing that. Won some lost some.
New Carlisle Cop (Bobo). We had a special relationship I speed and he gave me a ticket. Finally I think he got tired of it and he started cutting me some slack.
The best ticket I remember. (if you can have a best one) I was leaving New Carlisle 571 & 235 (old route 69) main stop light in New Carlisle and by the time I passed over Honey Creek out of town, I must of been hitting 100. Bobo caught up to me as I pulled into Frost Top 40 & 235. I had already ordered a root beer and a rebel burger, (those were the days)
Needless to say radar was not used then and we decided on a 60 mph ticket, $35.00. That was my whole paycheck and some. I worked for Schwartz TV across from Creau's Marathon. (now that was another great hang out)
Wow! this brings out many memory's. I think I could write a book on my good old days. (but again couldn't we all)

I think I remember your 55 but that was a long time ago. If I can figure out how I will send you some pictures of my first car 57 Chevy.
Gary, here are the first cars I owned - 1st 57 in 1966, 2nd 61 don't know what
year that was, then the 66 Vette I bought on my 21st birthday, then 69 Chevelle SS
396 - loved them all. Now I have a 1966 Mustang that I bought for my wife 17
years ago ( I'll send a picture), a 1970 Chevy truck that I am still working
on - I put a 454 in it for fun and it is ready for paint. I also have a 1989
Soft tail Springer Harley. If you wonder who the girl in the 57 picture is
that would be my 1st wife.
